IN Bristol began in 2021 as a printed guidebook celebrating Bristol’s brilliant independents. Since then it’s grown into a platform sharing the places we keep coming back to, alongside the new openings we’re excited about.
We’re drawn to places with creativity, personality and that unmistakable Bristol energy. A tasty plate of food, a shop filled with things you didn’t know you needed, or a cafe you stumble across and immediately send to a friend. Everything we share is somewhere we’d genuinely recommend.
While the guidebook is where it all began, today IN Bristol lives online through curated mini guides and recommendations designed to help you explore the city a little better.
And we’re only just getting started. From future guidebooks to events and collaborations, we’re always looking for new ways to celebrate the businesses that make Bristol what it is.
HEY! I’M OLIVIA, THE FOUNDER OF IN BRISTOL.
I’m born and bred in Bristol and have lived in Old Market for over a decade, so I’ve spent plenty of time exploring the city.
Alongside IN Bristol, I run my brand marketing business Picnic, working with businesses across the UK and beyond. Design, branding and storytelling are a big part of my world, and I’ve always loved spotting the places that really capture their personality well, whether that’s through a beautifully designed space, thoughtful products, or the small details that make somewhere memorable.
IN Bristol started as a printed guidebook. I’d spent years exploring the city and recommending places to friends, but couldn’t quite find a guide that reflected the Bristol I saw around me, full of amazing businesses doing brilliant things. So I made one.
IN Bristol is my way of sharing the places I love.
